UPCOMING EVENT - Family Mediation Week 2022

Starting on 17th January 2022, Family Mediation Week is an annual event intended to raise awareness of and provide information about the process of family mediation. We believe that raising awareness of family mediation is essential; knowledge is power after all!

Only with all necessary information and alternatives laid out before them, can a person make a truly informed and independent choice on the best way to deal with their family situation, taking into account also their own unique circumstances.  It can be vitally important to feel in control of your own situation, especially during a time as uncertain as relationship breakdown. Knowing your options will help you feel more in control.

Agasee Law Associates (Family Law Solicitors and Mediators) is participating in and supporting Family Mediation Week. Over the course of the week (17th – 21st January 2022), the Family Mediation Council (FMC) will be presenting webinars , creating blog posts, publishing resources and information, and engaging in social media activity, all with the aim of spreading awareness of the family mediation process. As well as this, the FMC will be hosting events for members of the public, solicitors, and other professionals throughout the week, with the same goal of sharing information about family mediation and its benefits to those experiencing relationship breakdown or separation.

The aim of Family Mediation Week is not to convince every person to mediate, but rather to ensure that they are informed enough to make their own choice. We will be contacting the local press to encourage them to publicise Family Mediation, as well as re-blogging posts and encouraging others to pass on information and to join us in this.
